Michelle Ryan wins! She topped a recent Radio Times poll of "Worst American accents on television." Well, ok, so it aint the Oscars. But it's something. I had no idea recreating my obnoxious dialect could be so difficult. I just thought all it took was talking loudly about McDonald's and spitting all over the place.

This has all the makings of an Agatha Christie classic! Several of my "esteemed" sources indicate that Michelle Ryan and Owen Wilson have begun dating. This is great news for Owen since I worry about him. However, all may not be rosy in loveydoveyville. Michelle Ryan denies the coupling, saying she's never even met the man. I contest, dear readers, that she may still be dating him. Didn't we all have girlfriends in the mid to late 90s that we never met? Wasn't that why the Internet was invented?
Ok, maybe it was just me. Scratch that from the records. I hope they are dating though.

Michelle admitted to WENN(World Entertainment News Network) that she battled with depression for many months while filming "Eastenders." She says the depression sprang from the death of her grandfather in 2002, coupled with the media's fascination with her weight.
“People were saying I looked too big on screen and commenting if I put on the slightest amount of weight. I felt terrible. I was at an age when I was still trying to come to terms with my body.” She told WENN.

Michelle recently gave an interview to that tome of all things geeky, Wizard Universe. She told them all about her recent love for Star Wars!
“The original Star Wars movies my ex-boyfriend got me to watch,” Ryan says. “I watched them and I thought that they were absolutely brilliant. I know that everyone is like, ‘You’re a bit slow there, love,’ but a few years ago I watched them and thought they were brilliant.”
If this were 1999 at any point before May I'd take that sentiment and cuddle up with it and ask her to marry me, like, immediately. But, it's not. It's 2007 and those prequel movies have come and gone and with them, all remaining vestiges of innocence from my pathetic suburban childhood. No, but I'm not bitter. No bitterness here. None at all. Let me think of something positive to say. Um, the Emperor was cool?
She also likes comic books and video games! She's either a really cool girl or her PR team coached her on the intended audience for the interview. Again, if this was 1999, I'd go with the former in a heartbeat. But, alas, meesa no think soooo!
